“Left Bombay and reached Lahore via Karachi on January 7 or 8, 1948. The condition of my brain remained unusual for three months. I didn’t understand, where I am. Whether I am in Bombay, sitting in my friend hasan Abbas’s home in Karachi or I am in Lahore. Where in several restaurants, dance parties were frequently arranged to collect Quaid-e-Azam fund.”
“My brain couldn’t decide anything for three months. It seems like as several different films are playing on a single screen. Everything has mixed with each other. Sometime, the streets and bazaars of Bombay, sometimes, rapid small Trams and donkey-carts of Karachi and sometimes noisy restaurants of Lahore.”
“I can’t understand where I am. Remained wondering, sitting on the chair for the whole day. At last, one day I realized. Because the money I had brought here with me from Bombay, I had spent a bit at home and remaining at Clifton Bar some far from my home. Now I absolutely came to know that I am in Lahore. Where I sometimes used to come in order to attend my court cases.”
